This week’s top 10 was heavy with CPG and food retail news, particularly stories having to do with Amazon. Taking the most-read slot is news of TreeHouse Foods President Robert Aiken resigning and following that in the CPG arena was news on Tyson Foods gaining 46 miles of frozen food aisle space this year due to consumer demand for protein-rich products. News about Campbell Soup’s organic portfolio growing by the double digits and Unilever purchasing Tazo tea from Starbucks for $384 million rounded out the top five stories. The one retail story to make it in the top five honed in on Amazon’s announcement that it would drop Fresh services in some suburban markets in New Jersey and Pennsylvania at the end of the month, according to messages from the online retail giant to its customers.

Hershey made the top 10 twice with stories about its newest flavor, the fourth in 100 years, and its announcement of its 2018 Winter Olympics sponsorship.
