Changes at Chobani, Campbell Soup and Buffalo Wild Wings

Chobani’s new packaging with its watercolor fruit images proved most popular with SmartBrief’s food and beverage readers this week. The brand made other changes to the design, including removing the phrase “Greek Yogurt,” as part of a plan to expand into new food products.

Other packaged goods brands also made the list, including Campbell Soup which has revamped its marketing strategy to focus on the qualities that make the products unique. Also on the list: Mars’ investment in Kind and Unilever’s plan to buy Sundial Brands.

Restaurant stories also rated, including Arby’s $2.9 billion deal to acquire Buffalo Wild Wings and a separate feature about Roark Capital Group, the parent of Arby’s, which has made investments in 21 restaurant chains since launching in 2001. Starbucks made the list this week with the news that it had opened a new café in Jamaica, its 76th international market.
