Seattle passed a "head tax" of $275 per worker Monday that will apply to big travel companies operating in the area. The tax, which becomes effective in 2019 and was created to improve the city's affordable-housing market, has received pushback from several companies such as Expedia Group, Alaska Airlines and Holland America Group.
