Students in Metlakatla, Alaska, are helping fish biologists keep track of conditions in salmon streams through NASA's GLOBE program. The local Boys & Girls Club arranges field trips to collect samples and measure data about the streams, giving students a chance to try to solve natural mysteries such as why salmon that spawn during even years have lower rates of return.
