The global wind industry is on the cusp a golden era for development characterized by falling costs and surging demand among corporate buyers, writes Irina Slav. The US added 1.82 gigawatts of land-based wind capacity in the first half of 2020 and had a construction pipeline of 4.12 GW in the first quarter, per the American Wind Energy Association.
